From first booking to final invoice

PaddockDesk connects every stage of a job into one record - reception, the workshop board, diagnostics, customer approval, technician work, parts, and the final handover - so nothing is re-typed between separate tools.

The real PaddockDesk workshop board, showing jobs staged from Booked to Collected.

The workshop journey

One connected record, start to finish

Every step below happens inside PaddockDesk itself - labelled honestly at its real stage today.

1 Live

Reception & booking

Type any registration. A vehicle on file fills in its owner automatically; an unknown registration offers Add new vehicle without leaving the screen. Customer, vehicle and job save together in one step, or not at all.

2 Live

Workshop board

The job moves across nine stages from Booked to Collected. Drag and drop on desktop, a Move menu on touch - and a move that isn't ready says why.

3 Live

Job card & diagnostics

The central record: labour and parts lines, technician assignment, vehicle health, diagnostic notes, photos and documents, and a full timeline of everything that happens to the job.

4 Live

Customer approval

Prepare the estimate, send it, then record the customer's decision by phone or in person. Each decision is timestamped, and approved work moves forward automatically.

5 Live

Technician execution

On the shop floor, technicians work from assigned, current and next jobs, with start/pause/complete controls, parts requirements, diagnostic notes and photos - built for phone and tablet.

6 In development

Parts & supplier ordering

Parts are identified from the vehicle and added to the job against a real supplier-integration architecture. Live supplier search, pricing and ordering are still in development.

7 Live

Quality check

Completed work is checked before it reaches the customer, as part of the job's full timeline and record.

8 Live

Customer handover

A printable A4 vehicle health report, and an invoice that can be created, reviewed, finalised, printed, downloaded as a PDF, and recorded as unpaid, part-paid or paid.

Why it matters

No re-typing between separate systems

A booking, a job card, a parts order and an invoice are usually four different tools in a workshop. In PaddockDesk they're one connected record from the first phone call to the final handover - built by Laurus Technology using the Laurus Operating System approach.
